The Henry County Council on Aging is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of 19 volunteers who serve as directors.
The purpose of the Henry County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is to establish an organization, comprised of public officials, industry representatives, and private citizens, to respond to the hazardous chemical environment, develop a comprehensive emergency plan for the community, receive information about accidental chemical releases, and collect, manage and provide public access to information on hazardous chemicals in the community.
The Henry County Board of Commissioners appointed a SPLOST IV Committee that was composed of 12 members, including two members appointed by each commissioner and one member appointed by the Chairman.
The Henry County Board of Commissioners has adopted a 5-year SPLOST V project list. The allocated funds will be split at a percentage of 70/30 between the County and its four municipalities.
